Very Challenging!
This is a 10 5/8 x 15″ Full Page Publication Ad design created for Reliance Orthodontic Products, Inc.. The purpose of this ad was to introduce Extend, Reliance’s preformed bonded retainer. Initially, we didn’t have much to go on. They handed us a tiny, bent piece of metal – like a bent nail – and asked us to create an ad! So, naturally we went to work. We started with some fine Macro Photography, shot by Controlled Color’s product photography department, to capture any detail we could of the product. We were supplied with intra-oral pictures of the product in use, and tried to balance an odd collection of copy and pictures, in a way that made sense. A difficult task, as this was the best way we found to lay it out on the odd-sized ad, and keep the important parts prominent. A compromising ad, but it made for a very effective sell sheet!
